She was a former employee of Seymour Electronics for 19 years and was a homemaker. Born on May 27, 1924 in Uniontown, Indiana she was the daughter of Phillip and Cora Morgan Albertson whom both preceded her in death. On April 12, 1952 in Crothersville, she married Eugene Brown who also preceded her in death on September 27, 1991. She attended Crothersville Church of the Nazarene, loved working outdoors in her gardens and yard. Survivors include one son, Donnie Dixon of Crothersville, IN; two daughters, Patricia Gayle Derringer of Crothersville, IN; Joann Lett of Crothersville, IN; one sister Katherine Keith of Crothersville, IN; 11 grandchildren, Donald Wayne Dixon, Seymour, IN; Cassondra Hope Dixon, Seymour, IN; Mary Beth Dixon, Austin, IN; Tabitha Gayle Donnell, Crothersville, IN; Lance Eugene Lynch, Robin Deputy, Uniontown, IN; Penny Koerner, Lexington, IN; Missy Breedlove, Crothersville, IN; Terry Ferris, North Vernon, IN; Barbie Pearson, Crothersville, IN; Bobby Baker, Crothersville, IN; two step grandsons, Scott Brown and Aaron Brown both of Seymour, IN; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Lillin Cobbs, Daisy Graves, Maxine Martin, two brothers, infant Leslie Albertson, and Harlan “Slim” Albertson; one stepson, Eddie Brown, one granddaughter, Jennifer Kay Dixon. Rev. Mark Wooten will be conducting funeral services at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Adams Funeral Home in Crothersville with burial to follow at Crothersville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Adams Funeral Home and after 9:00 AM on Thursday at Adams Funeral Home. Memorial gifts may be given to Crothersville Cemetery. |
Dora E. Brown, 83, of Crothersville, Indiana passed away at 5:37 am on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.
