Born June 28, 1939 in Columbus, Indiana, he was the son of Willie and Arrett (Brooks) Smith whom preceded him in death. On July 7, 1961 in Uniontown, Indiana he married Freda Smith who survives in Uniontown. Mr. Smith retired from Reliance Electric after working 28 years, was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle in Crothersville, and was an avid outdoorsman hunting, fishing and loved his family deeply. Other survivors include, one son, Randall Smith of Crothersville, Indiana; one daughter, Tracie and her husband Whitney Kovener of Crothersville, Indiana; two granddaughters, Tara Smith, of Evansville, Indiana; Natalie Smith of Crothersville, Indiana; one sister, Mrs. Paul (Brenda) McIntosh of Crothersville, Indiana; one brother, Charles Smith of Florida. He was preceded in death by a son Jamie Smith on August 6, 1996, and 3 infant children. Reverend Jerry Miles will conduct funeral Services at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Adams Funeral Home in Crothersville with burial to follow at Crothersville Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Adams Funeral Home. Memorial gifts may be given to the Lighthouse Tabernacle Building Fund. |
Billy Clay Smith, 68, of Uniontown, Indiana passed away at 1:45 AM on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at his home.
